FIVE Emfuleni municipal employees say they've suffered a big blow for joining Zuma's MK party.
They claim they have not received their March salaries.
One of the unpaid employees, Levy Makwe, told Daily Sun there are 12 employees in his department, five are members of uMkhonto Wesiziwe party and seven ANC members, but only the ANC members received their salaries for March.
Levy claimed that after his manager, who is allegedly a member of the ANC's regional executive committee, learned that the five of them had joined Zuma's party, he started treating them badly and warned them that he would "deal" with them.
"We didn't expect him to do this. Every person has a right to choose which political party they want to join," Levy said.
Another employee, Nduduzo Skhosana, told the SunTeam the manager vowed that they won't get anything now that they've joined the MK party.
