The ongoing decline of Kaizer Chiefs is a sobering reality that has been difficult to witness for many football enthusiasts in South Africa. However, there comes a point where action must be taken. As the club enters its tenth year without silverware, it's clear that serious steps need to be taken to address the issues at hand. This may require a stringent and thorough process, writes Tashreeq Vardien.

Kaizer Chiefs, now nine years removed from their last major title, find themselves trapped in a tumultuous odyssey not dissimilar to a wounded patient vacillating between the frenetic chaos of the emergency room and the solemn vigilance of the intensive care unit.

In Chiefs' current state, it's regrettable but necessary that the hierarchy must take decisive action to address the underlying issues.
