The Lions are into the final of the CSA T20 Challenge after they easily dispatched northern rivals, the Titans, in a one-sided affair at the Wanderers on Wednesday, where they won by 8 wickets (DLS method) with 20 balls to spare.

After they were asked to bat first, the Titans' innings never really got going, as they lost wickets at regular intervals.

Batting at No 3 Jack Lees top scored for the visitors with 64 off 43 (including 10 fours and 1 six), as they ended on 131/9 in 18 overs (20 minutes were lost due to floodlight failure.)

Lees received little support other than from Titans opener Rivaldo Moonsamy (24 off 27) as the pair put on 35 for the second wicket.

After that, no other Titans player hit double figures, with the next biggest partnership being 20 for the seventh wicket between Lees and Corbin Bosch (9).

Young leg spinner Nqaba Peter was the pick of the Lions' bowlers, as he ended with 4/18 in four overs, while Cody Yusuf took 2/25.

After some DLS calculations for the lost time, the Titans faced a revised total of 133 in 18 overs to progress to the final.

The Lions' charge to victory was thanks to a superb 85-run partnership in just under nine overs between Ryan Rickelton (38 off 26) and Rassie van der Dussen (75* off 45).

Van der Dussen, who has been in superb form of late, hit eight fours and a six.

The Lions will play either when the other semi-final between the Dolphins and Warriors takes place on Thursday.
