If the just-completed Chasing The Sun 2 documentary series did one thing, it was re-emphasise the democratic breadth of leadership within the ranks of the World Cup-retaining Springboks.

There has never been any doubt that twice Webb Ellis Cup-lifting primary leader Siya Kolisi - it is uncertain whether the now Racing 92-based flanker will continue in the role this year - is perfectly happy to disperse the task at times among senior colleagues.

It is a sign of confidence and lack of paranoia that a captain can do that.
