Finger op cuts short Rilee's English season

Cape Town - Former Proteas batsman Rilee Rossouw’s season in English county cricket has been cut short by injury.

According to Netwerk24, the 27-year-old has undergone a finger operation and will not be available for Hampshire for the remainder of the English season.

Rossouw earlier this year made himself unavailable for the Proteas after signing a Kolpak deal in England.

Rossouw, who is expected to play for the Knights in South Africa’s summer, played 36 ODIs and 15 T20Is for the Proteas.

His highest score for Hampshire this season was 156 in a one-day game against Somerset.
