WATCH: Louis lip-syncs after runner-up 'grand slam'

Cape Town - South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen completed a career 'grand slam' of his own on Sunday when he finished tied for second at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.

The 2010 Open champion made a late surge up the leaderboard when he made eagle at the par-5, 15th, but bogeyed the final hole to mark his fourth major runner-up finish.

Oosthuizen shot a one-under par 70 to finish six-under, 278 for the tournament.

He finished tied for second, two shots behind eventual champion, American Justin Thomas, who claimed his first major title.

The South African now joins two-time major Greg Norman of Australia, who has also finished as a runner-up in all four majors.

Oosthuizen finished solo second at the Masters when he lost to Bubba Watson in 2012 and had back-to-back ties for second - firstly at the 2015 US Open - behind Jordan Spieth - and the 2015 Open Championship, when he lost in a playoff won by Zach Johnson.

Shortly after Sunday's PGA Championship, Oosthuizen boarded his plane and took to Twitter to congratulate Thomas, as well as serenade his followers by posting a hilarious video miming to the song 'Rise Up' by Andra Day.
