Cape Town - With rumours of a split garage at Mercedes, the speculation seems unlikely now as Lewis Hamilton reported for Pirelli 2017 tyre testing in Abu Dhabi, alongside Ferrari and Red Bull.
Silver Arrow development driver Pascal Wehrlein was in line to test the tyres in the morning session but was replaced by Hamilton, resulting in the German taking over the afternoon duties.
However, as testing went on, Hamilton pulled out of the session due to feeling unwell just two days after his Championship fight with Rosberg.
Hamilton came under fire at Mercedes for disobeying team orders after he tried to slow down 2016 Champion Nico Rosberg at Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with Toto Wolff saying that the matter will be dealt with internally.
Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen and Red Bull duo Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen are also involed in the testing.
The 2017 tyres are said to be unmarked but will vary between ultrasofts, supersofts and softs.
