More medals for Van der Burgh, Le Clos

Berlin - South Africa's Cameron van der Burgh and Chad Le Clos were both on the podium again after the second leg of the Fina Swimming World Cup in Berlin, Germany, on Tuesday night.

Van der Burgh clinched first place in the 50m breaststroke in 25.75, ahead of Russia's Kirill Prigoda in 26.04 and Brazil's Felipe Lima in 26.21.

“I'm very satisfied with my performance. The pool is very fast and I'm looking forward to the 100m breaststroke tomorrow,” Van der Burgh said after racing in his first final in Berlin.

Le Clos was too good in the 200m butterfly, finishing in an amazing 1:49.33 in front of local hero Philip Heintz in 1:52.56 and China's Yun Hao in 1:53.51.

Le Clos also claimed the spoils in the 50m butterfly (22.15) ahead of the Ukraine's Andrii Govorov in 22.45 and the UK's Adam Barrett (22.64).

Russia's Vladimir Morosov from Russia and Hungarian “Iron Lady” Katinka Hosszu were again outstanding.

Morosov won the 100m individual medley and the 100m freestyle, while Hosszu grabbed first place in the 200m freestyle, 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley.

She also took silver in the 50m backstroke and a bronze in the 100m butterfly.
