NZ Herald 'clowns around' with Lions

Cape Town - The New Zealand Herald is at it again, causing a stir by depicting an opposition coach to the All Blacks as a clown on their back page. 

Last time it was Wallabies coach Michael Cheika, but on Tuesday it was the turn of British and Irish Lions boss Warran Gatland.

The newspaper ran a sketch of Gatland wearing a clown suit and a red nose alongside the headline 'If the nose fits, Warren' following his accusations that the All Blacks had deliberately tried to injure Lions scrumhalf Conor Murray in the first Test in Auckland this past Saturday. 

The All Blacks ran out 30-15 winners in that match. 

The newspaper's decision didn't go down well on social media, with most finding it 'cheap' and 'distasteful'. 

The second Test between the sides takes place on Saturday in Wellington.

Kick-off is at 09:35.
