Pretoria - The Vodacom Bulls were given a boost after their victory over the DHL Stormers when they returned to training Monday, as they received two players back to bolster their ranks.
According to the SuperSport, Coach Nollis Marais may well have a selection problem with Burger Odendaal declared fit again and Warrick Gelant also getting the green light for selection ahead of their big game against the Emirates Lions at Loftus Versfeld this Saturday.
In addition to this, two other flankers will be knocking on the door after some good performances on the weekend in the Currie Cup.
Opensider Roelof Smit scored a hat-trick in the 39-38 loss against Griquas and will have stressed his claims to get back into the starting line-up while new acquisition Renaldo Bothma also scored a try and should start slotting in at the Super Rugby team this week.
Gelant was set to return last week but the medical team felt he needed another week after breaking his jaw some six weeks ago, but with SP Marais currently playing well it will be a tough call between the two for the coaching staff.
Odendaal is likely to be considered for the game while it waits to be seen what the Bulls will do, but it is unlikely they will want to make too many changes as they are likely to want to reward the team that beat the Stormers.
Flanker Nic de Jager, who extended his contract at Loftus last week and winger Bjorn Basson, have also been declared fit for selection.
