Strauss back, Kriel on wing for Bulls

Cape Town - Jesse Kriel will start at left wing for the Bulls in their clash with the Hurricanes at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday with Adriaan Strauss returning to the starting XV at hooker and as captain.

Strauss missed the last two Super Rugby matches due to a foot injury, but returns to the middle of the scrum and takes over the captaincy from Hanro Liebenberg and the hooking spot from Jaco Visagie.

Coach Nollis Marais has made a number of changes to the team thumped by the Lions with Warrick Gelant replacing Kriel at fullback.

At flyhalf, Tian Schoeman will again wear the number 10 jersey in place of Francois Brummer with Duncan Matthew at right wing in place of Jade Stiglingh.

Ulrich Beyers moves onto the bench in place of Gelant. If Beyers takes to the field, this will be his first appearance of the season.

At forward, Jacobie Adriaanse will start at tighthead prop in place of Trevor Nyakane who falls out of the match day squad.

Bulls lock Lood de Jager will be playing in his 50th Super Rugby match.

Kick-off is at 15:05 (SA Time).
