Force 'won't give up' on Super Rugby

Cape Town - The Australian Rugby Union (ARU) has taken the decision to cut the Western Force from Super Rugby next year, but the Perth-based franchise is not going quietly. 

The Force have started taking the legal steps to fight the decision, and they are expected to know by August 21 whether or not they will be allowed to lodge an appeal. 

In the meantime, the club has organised a supporters rally on Sunday. 

A post on the Western Force Facebook page encouraged supporters to "stop being keyboard warriors" and attend the rally. 

Coach Dave Wessels took to Twitter to voice his support of the movement. 

"We will never surrender! We will never give up," he wrote.

The Force finished second in the Australian Conference in Super Rugby this year ahead of the Reds, Waratahs and Rebels.
