WATCH: Perenara lands monster 69m kick in training

Cape Town - If the unthinkable happens to the Barrett brothers on Saturday, the Hurricanes appear to have a suitable goal kicking replacement.

According to the Stuff website, scrumhalf TJ Perenara was filmed by Hurricanes flyhalf Beauden Barrett during training in Johannesburg during the week landing a shot at goal from roughly 69 metres out.

Of course, being on the highveld at an altitude of about 1 750m certainly helped...

Hurricanes fullback Jordie Barrett - the Hurricanes' regular kicker - can be seen celebrating the kick in the background.

The Lions will host the defending champion Hurricanes in Saturday's second semi-final at 14:30.

Earlier in the day - 09:35 SA time - the Crusaders welcome the Chiefs to Christchurch.
