World record for biggest scrum - WATCH

Cape Town - The world record for the largest rugby scrum was broken in Cardiff, Wales on Wednesday after 1 297 players paticipated.

According to the BBC, players at the Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival joined members of the public at the University Fields in the Llanrumney area.

The previous Guinness World Record of 1 198 was set at Twickenham, London during last year’s Rugby World Cup.

Welsh referee Nigel Owens, who initiated the bid, also received a Guinness World Record award for refereeing the most international games.
