Cape Town - Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric believes the newly-crowned Champions League winners can continue to dominate European football for years.
Zinedine Zidane's charges thrashed Juventus 4-1 in the Champions League final on Saturday to become the first team to successfully defend the title.
Modric praised the quality of the team after clinching the trophy and claimed that Los Merengues can continue winning titles if they keep working as hard as they have.
"It’s something special we are doing at the moment and we need to keep going because this moment will not last forever," Modric said, according to the Daily Star.
"I think we feel like an amazing team, and we need to just keep doing what we are doing, because I think we can win many more titles in the future.
"How long can it last? It’s difficult to say this but, like I said, we need to keep doing what we are doing, enjoy what we are doing and we will see.
"We are good age-wise and we have young players that are coming in that have a lot of quality. This is only a positive thing for the team."
Meanwhile thousands of delirious Madrid fans called for Cristiano Ronaldoto win a fifth Ballon d'Or as the Spanish giants paraded the Champions League trophy for a record 12th time.
