Cape Town - Sergio
Aguero says his "intention is to stay" at Manchester City despite
reports he will leave the club at the end of the season.
Aguero found himself benched for a few weeks this season as Gabriel Jesus made an immediate impact at he club with a number of goals - before picking up an injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season.
The Argentine picked up where he left off, with a number of crucial goals for City, and has now moved to end speculation surrounding his future.
Aguero, who is contracted until 2020, told Spanish radio station Onda Cero: “I have three months to give my best and, as I always said, in June it will be seen.
“One thing is that the club officially says it and another thing is to tell me. My intention is to stay. The club can say what it wants but in June they will have to meet with me.”
The club recently announced its intention to keep hold of Aguero, but he is yet to be informed through official lines.
He added: “It is a breakthrough for the club to say that but I do not want to think about what will happen to my future.
“I hope that in June we can achieve some title which is the most important thing and then we will see.”
