Lovren: Reds are flying under Klopp

Cape Town - Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has highlighted the huge improvement the club have made since Jurgen Klopp arrived at Anfield in 2015.

In just over one year in charge, Klopp has guided the Reds to two cup finals and has also overseen a strong start to the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.

The 18-time league champions have won six of their opening nine matches in all competitions, and are just two points behind co-leaders Arsenal and Manchester City.

In addition, the Merseyside outfit have also plundered 18 goals in the league, and have caught the eye for the speed and incisiveness of their attacking play.

With no taxing commitments in any European club competitions this season, the club are seen as potential favourites to win their first title since 1990.

And Lovren agrees that the side from north west England have made significant progress under their German manager.

"We have the quality to beat everyone, when you look at the teams we have played already," the Croatia international told the club's official website.

"We improved a lot with Jurgen. We were really good last season when he came, but now we are flying. We just need to keep that winning spirit."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
