Billiat, Onyango fit for Chiefs game

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns have been boosted by the returns of Khama Billiat and Denis Onyango from respective injuries ahead of their Premiership tie against Kaizer Chiefs.

The Brazilian' media officer Thulani Thuswa confirmed that the duo are in contention for a starting-berth for their league tie against Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night, in addition to giving an injury update of attackers, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Yannick Zakri.

"The two-week FIFA  break has done the players a power of good and it’s great news to have both Khama and Denis back," he told SunSport.

"He (Vilakazi) looks very doubtful and is in a race against time to get fit for Chiefs. It’s a huge blow with so many players injured.

"The coach and players are taking this game very seriously. It’s a big game for the club. We know what is at stake here," Thuswa concluded.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
