Chiefs to keep pushing for title, says Komphela

Cape Town - The Absa Premiership title race is far from over and Steve Komphela believes his Kaizer Chiefs side still have a fighting chance.

Despite falling to Cape Town City 3-2 at Cape Town Stadium, Komphela says that he will still ready his charges for each of their last five games as if they have a chance of winning the title.

"We never give up," said Komphela at the post match press conference.

"For as long as it mathematically makes sense, we keep pushing, even if it is the last match.

"We have a responsibility to the Chiefs supporters to keep pushing on and play good football.

"When we leave Chiefs or whenever that time comes or this generation is no more, when people look back, people will say they might not have won anything but goodness me what a game they would play."

Chiefs currently occupy fourth position (45 points) on the Premiership standings followed by Bidvest Wits (45), Mamelodi Sundowns (47) and City (49).
