Cape Town - Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele has been ruled out of action for up to two weeks due to an injury.
Jele, who came on in the second-half in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal clash against Mamelodi Sundowns last week, has suffered a hamstring strain which has ruled him out of activity for between one to two weeks.
According to the club's official website, Jele suffered a grade 2 tear and will receive treatment to the affected area.
Meanwhile, the Eric Tinkler can breathe a sigh of relief after learning of the results into left back Thabo Matlaba’s groin strain.
Matlaba was forced out of Pirates’ goalless draw against Polokwane City due to an injury after picking up what was initially feared as a serious groin injury.
The results have come back to confirm that the left-backs injury is not serious and should only be out for a couple of days. Matlaba will receive physio to determine his readiness for Bucs’ upcoming encounter against Platinum Stars.
