Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Ryan Moon admits that he is excited about the upcoming season after scoring for Bafana Bafana.
The 20-year-old helped South Africa to a 1-0 win over Botswana in the second leg of the 2018 African Nations Championship (Chan) qualifier.
Bafana Bafana had already beaten the Zebras 2-0 in the first leg in Francistown, Botswana, with Moon scoring his first international goal in his first cap for South Africa.
The goal at the Moruleng Stadium on Saturday was a fine one - Sipho Mbule went past two opponents before cutting the ball back to the lanky striker - who finished neatly.
Meanwhile, Moon admits that the prospect of leading the attack for Amakhosi has him excited.
“I am excited,” Moon said on the club’s website.
“I am itching to make my mark for Kaizer Chiefs.”
The Carling Black Label Champion Cup is up on Saturday, July 29.
The match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be played at FNB Stadium (kick-off is at 15:30).
“That’s something exiting to look forward to,” Moon points out.
“I love it as well that the supporters choose the team. Let’s see if enough fans voted for me to get me in the starting line-up.”
