Mphahlele talks up Chiefs tie

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele admits that wins are harder to come by in the Absa Premiership home stretch.

The Brazilians have endured a mini-slump recently after a goalless draw in their last game against Ajax Cape Town and a 2-0 loss to Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup prior to that.

With four games to go in the league, Sundowns hold a four-point lead at the top of the table after collecting 59 points from 26 games.

"The league has reached a stage where every game we play is becoming more difficult than the one before," Mphahlele told Goal website.

"It's like a Cup final where no one wants to lose. We have all the reason to fight for three points and remain on top of the league; against Chiefs we want it more.

"As much as Chiefs want to finish in top-three which means they are also coming for three points, it's us that are chasing the title. It's up to us to make sure we win this one."

Pitso Mosimane's side next face Kaizer Chiefs at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
