No Laffor deal in the works, Motaung reassures

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has dismissed claims that the club have entered into negotiations with Mamelodi Sundowns for Anthony Laffor.

The four-time Premiership winner has entered into his final six months of his contract and widespread reports suggest that Chiefs had begun negotiations with Laffor with a view to signing him.

Motaung has since rubbished these claims, saying that the club have not shown interest in him thus far in the transfer window.

"I don't know anything about that, it's something I only see in the media," he told KickOff.

"What I can tell you is that nobody has discussed Anthony Laffor at Kaizer Chiefs.

"We haven't shown any interest in the player, his name is not part of our discussions," he concluded.

The Naturena based-outfit could be primed for some changes within their current roster, as defender Lorenzo Gordinho embarked on a week-long trial with Fulham, while Italian forward Gustavo Paez and Malawian defender Miracle Gabeya are both on trial at the club.
