Pitso slams Spanish Federation

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has slammed the Royal Spanish Football Federation for the long process of giving Razak Brimah's his International Transfer Clearance.

The delay has reportedly cost the Ghana international any chance of participating in this year's African Champions League campaign.

Brimah was brought to Chloorkop after his deal with Cordoba in Spain's second tier came to an end.

However, it appears poor administration by the Spanish authorities has now cost Brimah a place in the ACL squad, while 'Downs won't have the luxury of his services either in the competition.

"It is usually a simple five-second job. You go into the (FIFA) system‚ you click on the player's profile and you transfer him to his new federation‚ in this case SAFA (the South African Football Association)," Mosimane said.

"It's unbelievable that a country like Spain takes so long to issue an International Transfer Clearance."

The Brazilians have now registered fellow goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni to take part in the latter rounds of the tournament.
