Tokyo - Japanese superstar Kei Nishikori has been confirmed for the
Argentina Open, which will take place in Buenos Aires in early 2017.
The 26-year-old has only ever played in the event once -
back in 2012 - when he reached the last eight before getting knocked out by
Stanislas Wawrinka.
Nishikori will be at home on the clay, however, having won
two ATP titles on the surface so far in his career in Barcelona in 2014 and
2015.
The Argentina Open, which was won by Dominic Thiem earlier this year, is the second clay-court tournament of the 2017 season and will take place in February after the Ecuador Open Quito.
