GAME OVER! Skipper Dane Vilas finds the fence and the Jozi Stars are Mzansi Super League champions!

They were clinical with bat and ball and secure a massive 8 wicket win!

16 Dec 2018

JS 110/2 (17)

4 more needed

16 Dec 2018

Another BELTING drive from Van der Dussen goes for four and the Stars are just 5 short now ...

16 Dec 2018

50 up for Van der Dussen! That's his FOURTH of the tournament! He has been superb, finishing as comfortably the top run scorer in the competition.

16 Dec 2018

JS 101/2 (16)

13 more needed off 24 balls

16 Dec 2018

15.3 - WICKET! Reeza Hendricks clips Siboto straight to Dawid Malan at dee square leg. Hendricks departs for 33 (41)

16 Dec 2018

JS 99/1 (15)

16 Dec 2018

JS need 17 from 33 and the CT Blitz attack is defeated.

16 Dec 2018

12.5 - SIX! Van der Dussen slaps Dale Steyn over square leg for a flat maximum! He's middle that!

JS 84/1 (13)

16 Dec 2018

JS 70/1 (11), needing another 44 for victory ...

Van der Dussen 28* (32), Hendricks 26* (26)

16 Dec 2018

50 partnership up between Hendricks and Van der Dussen ...

16 Dec 2018

JS 60/1 (9) and there is surely no way back for the CT Blitz from here ...

16 Dec 2018

JS 47/1 (7)

16 Dec 2018

6.5 - SIX! Some shot from Reeza Hendricks! Big drive that flies over point and over the ropes.

16 Dec 2018

JS 32/1 (6)

That's the end of the powerplay ...

16 Dec 2018

Van der Dussen has hit Siboto for 3 boundaries in a row and that has taken a lot of pressure off the Stars ...

16 Dec 2018

JS 20/1 (5)

BUT ... Steyn has bowled 3 overs already ...

16 Dec 2018

JS 19/1 (4)

16 Dec 2018

JS 17/1 (3)

16 Dec 2018

Here comes Rassie van der Dussen, who is in some serious form ...

16 Dec 2018

2.3 - WICKET! Steyn strikes! He's clean bowled Rickelton (6) and off-stump flies out of the ground! What a sight!

JS 13/1 (2.3)

16 Dec 2018

2.2 Beautiful from Rickelton, who drives Steyn straight down the ground for FOUR!

16 Dec 2018

JS 8/0 (2)

16 Dec 2018

Very good start from Steyn, who is bowling comfortably above 140 kph. Just 1 off that over.

JS 1/0 (1)

16 Dec 2018

Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks walking out to the middle for the Jozi Stars. Dale Steyn will bowl the first over.

16 Dec 2018

Still, the runs are on the board and if the Blitz can grab a couple of quick wickets early on, you never know ...

16 Dec 2018

The problem for the Blitz was that they never got any partnerships going.

Verreynne 23 (25) and Behardien 23 (22) looked good, but there was never any momentum in that innings.

16 Dec 2018

Steyn finishes with a FOUR!

The Cape Town Blitz finish on 113/7 (20)

That is the lowest score by any side batting first so far in this tournament and will almost certainly not be enough.

It's a disappointing return given that this is a final and that there is a good crowd at Newlands.

Hats off to the Jozi Stars, who strangled their hosts from the beginning. The Blitz, though, were poor. Nobody showed any real application and that is ultimately what cost them.

16 Dec 2018

Rabada to bowl the last over ...

16 Dec 2018

Steyn heaves one over mid-off for SIX!

CTB 106/7 (19)

16 Dec 2018

Olivier finishes with figures of 2/32 from his 4 overs ...

CTB 97/7 (18)

16 Dec 2018

WICKET! That is a super catch from Pongolo on the 3rd man fence! Behardien has played the uppercut, and Ponogolo takes the catch but has to throw the ball into the air as he steps over the boundary rope! He recovers to take the catch legally and the crowd loves it!

Behardien out for 23 and the Blitz are dead and buried.

CTB 92/7 (17) ...

16 Dec 2018

CTB 89/6 (16)

16 Dec 2018

WICKET! Run-out! It's a huge mix-up between Phehlukwayo and Behardien, who end up at the same end! That about sums it all up for the Blitz so far.

Phehlukwayo will have to go.

CTB 81/6 (15.2)

16 Dec 2018

Simon Harmer finishes with figures of 0/14 (4) ...

16 Dec 2018

CTB 80/5 (15) ...

16 Dec 2018

CTB 76/5 (14)

16 Dec 2018

Andile Phehlukwayo in ...

16 Dec 2018

13.3 - WICKET! Verreynne is out for 23 (25)! He's been trapped LBW by Rabada and the CTB's worries continue ...

CTB 73/5 (13.3)

16 Dec 2018

CTB 71/4 (13)

16 Dec 2018

CPT 67/4 (12) ...
