ICC embarrassed after Rabada, Ngidi mix-up

Durban - The ICC has been left with egg on its face after mixing up Proteas opening bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi.

Rabada was awarded the Wisden Golden Boy of the Year earlier this week, an honour for the best U-23 player in world cricket for 2018.

Ngidi, meanwhile, came in at No 9 on the list.

Then, on Wednesday, the ICC ran a story on their website quoting Cricket South Africa (CSA) CEO Thabang Moroe in praising Rabada for his achievement.

But, when the ICC tweeted a link to the story from their official Twitter account, things went wrong.

While they included a quote about Rabada, they included a picture of Ngidi that was very clearly a mistake.

While it may have been an innocent slip-up, some of the reactions the picture drew were rather comical.

By Thursday morning, after the post had been up for 13 hours already, the ICC had still not removed it.
