Cape Town - Proteas wicket-keeper batsman Heinrich Klaasen wants to stay in the Proteas' mix in order to play at next year's Cricket World Cup.
Klaasen is still inexperienced when it comes to the national set-up after making his debut earlier this year against India.
Since then the Titans cricketer has only played six ODIs for the Proteas and is eager to cement his spot in Ottis Gibson's team.
The 27-year-old has been up against the likes of David Miller and Quinton de Kock for a spot in the starting XI.
Last month, Klaasen appeared in two ODIs and could only manage 17 and 3 with the bat against Sri Lanka in Proteas' away series.

However, looking ahead to the 2018/19 season, Klaasen has one goal in mind and that's to go to England next year to play in the cricket showpiece.
"I want to be consistent in all my performances, I've disappointed myself in the last couple of games but consistency needs to improve," said Klaasen at the CSA Season Launch in Centurion.
"Obviously my big goal is to play in the World Cup so a lot of hard work to be done by myself. I need to spend some time with my personal coaches, to get my game in order, be more consistent and put my name in the hat."
The Proteas kick off their 2019 Cricket World Cup campaign against hosts England on May 30.
