Faf du Plessis (captain), Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Andile Phehlukwayo, Dwaine Pretorius, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi, Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir, Rassie van der Dussen

Remember, the players are completely in the dark here. 

They will find out if they have made the squad when the rest of the country does. 

Makes for a few nervy minutes ahead ...

Whichever way the selectors go, there will be a backlash. 

However, one would expect that backlash to be more subdued if Amla goes to the World Cup as opposed to him being left out.

For a while now, it has looked a three-horse race for two spots between Amla, Hendricks and Markram, and that still appears to be the case.
