The Titans won the first franchise competition of the season when they beat the Dolphins by seven wickets in the final at SuperSport Park.
“Congratulations to the Titans, winning the franchise T20 competition three years in a row is a remarkable achievement,” commented CSA's acting CEO Thabang Moroe.
Moroe also congratulated all competing teams.
“All the participating franchises produced compelling and competitive cricket of a high quality throughout with all six franchises going into the final weekend of league play with a chance of making the knock-out phase.
“There is no doubt that this competition compares favourably with other similar tournaments around the world. Our Proteas continue to maintain world-class standards and this has inspired some of our franchise regulars to lift their standard to the next level.”
The Titans chased down a meagre total of 101 to ease to victory in front of a capacity crowd.
“Congratulations also to all our fans who entered into the spirit of the ‘Catch 2 Million’ competition with three of them making it through to the finals evening,” Moroe continued.
“I would also like to thank RAM Hand to Hand Couriers, our much-appreciated sponsors, for their support of South African cricket.”
