Titans 'still discussing' way forward with AB

Pretoria - The Titans say they are still discussing the way forward with retired Proteas legend AB de Villiers.

The 34-year-old dropped a bombshell last week when he announced his retirement from international cricket, but he did confirm his commitment to the Titans by saying that he still wanted to play for them on the domestic scene.

The franchise, however, released a list of 18 contracted players plus eight additional Proteas who would be representing them in the 2018/19 season.

De Villiers' name was not on either of those two lists.

"Following the announcement of AB de Villiers' immediate retirement from all forms of international cricket, discussions are still ongoing regarding the finalisation of a playing arrangement for the upcoming season," The Titans said via an official statement.

The Titans won the domestic T20 title as well as the Sunfoil Series in 2017/18.
