Cape Town - Justin Harding finished as the top South African at the 83rd Masters at Augusta National on Sunday.
Out of the six South Africans who started the tournament, four made the cut for the weekend.
Harding, who was making his Masters debut, carded an even par 72 on Sunday to finish at 8-under for the tournament.
He finished tied for 12th, five shots behind eventual champion Tiger Woods, who claimed his 15th major title.
His performance helped move him from 49th in the world rankings, to 44th.

SA's top-ranked golfer Louis Oosthuizen ended on a disappointing note as he posted a 4-over 76 to finish tied for 29th at 4-under.
2008 Masters champion Trevor Immelman carded a 3-under 69 in his final round to finish T51 on 2-over for the tournament.
Branden Grace finished tied for 58th at 5-over par.
Meanwhile, 2011 Masters champion Charl Schwartzel and amateur Jovan Rebula were the two South Africans who failed to make the weekend.
