4 must-watch weekend sporting events

Cape Town - It's the weekend!

But the sporting world never sleeps, so hang on tight and be sure to watch these FOUR events (in no particular order)!

1. Australian Grand Prix

Start your engines as the F1 season is a GO this weekend!

Lewis Hamilton is the man everyone wants to beat this season.

However, breathing down his neck is Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen.

It's going to be good!

2. Bafana Bafana v Zambia final

Stuart Baxter and his charges are in Ndola to face Zambia in the Four Nations final.

The last time the two sides met was in the CHAN qualifiers which saw Chipolopolo eliminate Bafana Bafana from the qualifiers of the tournament.

Will Bafana exact their revenge?

Kick-off is at 15:00.

3. Super Rugby

Round 6 of the Super Rugby action gets under way this weekend.

We first start off in Tokyo to see the Sunwolves taking on the Chiefs (06:15 SA time) and then we're in Wellington as the Hurricanes host the Highlanders (08:35 SA time).

Back in SA at Newlands, the Stormers look for back-to-back wins when they face the Reds (17:15) and then we end off the weekend in Argentina with the Jaguares and the Lions (21:40 SA time).

Who will reign supreme? Will we see any upsets? All these questions and more will be answered on Sport24...

4. Proteas v Australia, 3rd Test

If you're looking for entertainment this weekend, look no further than Newlands for the third Test between South Africa and Australia.

The series is level with Faf du Plessis and his charges set to put pressure on the Aussies heading into their fourth and final Test.
