Rabada odds-on to miss Newlands Test

accreditation

Cape Town - Don't expect to see Kagiso Rabada steaming in to terrorise the Australians at Newlands, if local bookmakers BET.co.za are correct...

They have priced up Rabada at 1/4 to have his appeal overturned.

This means if you bet R400 you would only win back R100 plus your initial stake should his appeal be unsuccessful.

The betting suggests that Rabada is likely to see his appeal be turned down and - at 3/1 to win his appeal - only has a 25% chance of getting a favourable ruling.

Rabada copped his ban following a brush of shoulders with Australian captain Steve Smith - an incident that has put the ICC's demerit system under the spotlight.

Rabada's appeal against his two-match suspension will be heard on Monday with the ICC to announce their decision within 48 hours of the completion of the hearing.

Will you be having a punt on Rabada to win his appeal? Or do you think that the ICC will stick to their initial ruling?

Either way, have a bet on the outcome at BET.co.za
