Cape Town - Olympic medalist Chad le Clos picked up four medals at the third leg of the FINA Swimming World Cup in Eindhoven.

The 26-year-old won gold in the men's 100m butterfly on Friday and romped to victory in the 200m butterfly on Saturday.

On Sunday, Le Clos missed out on another gold by 0.01 seconds as he finished second in a time of 22.09 in the men's 50m butterfly as Brazil's Nicholas Santos took gold (22.08).

Le Clos finished in the Netherlands with another silver medal in the 200m freestyle as he came second in 1.42.20 behind American Blake Pieroni (1.41.83).

Le Clos made history last year when he became the first man to win four World Cup Series titles - winning in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2017.
