MAN CITY'S KYLE TAKES A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE DURING LOCKDOWN

As if Premier League players' reputations hadn't taken enough of a knock for their lack of a charitable response to the lockdown, Manchester City's Kyle Walker just made it much worse. After sending a "heartfelt" video message urging people to exercise social distancing, Walker decided to engage in some exercise of his own ... and it didn't involve social distancing! Walker, on Tuesday night ordered two high end escorts to his apartment, paying out R50k for the entertainment.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: This kind of stupidity at a time like this ... you couldn't make it up! With fines and suspensions expected to follow, Walker's night of entertainment is expected to cost a lot more! His reputation is in tatters too. Neither Pep nor Gareth Southgate are likely to be impressed.

ROONEY TUNES

Speaking of role models ... since when did Wayne Rooney nominate himself as a spokesperson for the players and a role model as such?? Rooney who himself has been caught multiple times by the British tabloids in uncompromising situations behind wife Colleen's back ... has decided to speak out at the bad press Premier League players have received for refusing to take a pay cut. His argument? Other highly-paid sportsmen are not getting criticised nor are other professions taking pay cuts.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Rooney's logic is flawed. Other sports stars are stepping up ... F1, cricket, tennis to name a few. He says some players can't afford it ... well 95% of them can and they haven't dipped into their pockets yet! Instead of moaning he should be donating!!

WHEN CRICKET BECOMES A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH

While we are no fans of spot fixing in cricket or any other sport, we think former Pakistani captain Javed Miandad might be taking things a tad too far when he called for those caught match fixing to be put to death. “Spot-fixers should be hanged because it is similar to killing someone and so the punishment should also be on the same lines. An example should be set so that no player even thinks about doing something like this.”

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: We think Miandad must have lost a bucket load of cash on fixed games to be this bitter!

BOXER KHAN PUNCH DRUNK ON THE KOOL AID

British boxer, Amir Khan, may have taken too many shots to his pip in his career. We came to this conclusion after he claimed that the novel corona virus was man made in order for governments to control the population while they build out 5G. Huh??

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Errrrrrr .... NO!

KHABIB V FERGUSON BACK ON?

Speculation doing the rounds is that the on-off mega-fight between Khabib and Tony Ferguson is back ON. UFC boss Dana White apparently has an undisclosed venue secured (rumoured to be on the west coast, USA) with a plan B in Belgravia. There is also talk that if Khabib doesn't make the fight, he will be replaced by banger Justin "the highlight" Gaethje.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: With no other sport on right now, if the UFC manages to pull this off and all fighters and officials are tested etc, this could dominate the airwaves and give the UFC a major lift. There is an ethical message to consider too though. Should this be happening in a time like this?
