TYSON V TYSON?

We appreciate readers may be getting somewhat fatigued by the constant Mike Tyson rumours circulating the media/social media but we feel duty bound to report them nevertheless. We have had Tyson v Sonny Bill Williams, Tyson v Evander Holyfield, Tyson v Shannon Briggs, Tyson v the bravest man on the planet in a bareknuckle fight as proposed line-ups. The latest? Tyson Fury claims that he was contacted about taking on Mike Tyson in a charity fight and gave the green light from his side, but has not heard back.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: There is certainly no shortage of hype surrounding "Iron Mike" particularly since the global lockdown has given social media additional spotlight. Tyson has exploited that opportunity by circulating impressive training videos accompanied by cryptic messaging. At this point, MyTwoCents thinks that a Tyson v Holyfield charity fight is the most likely scenario.

RUSSIAN BILLIONAIRE TO BUY RENAULT F1 TEAM?

Italian rag, La Gazetta dello Sport, claims that Russian billionaire Dmitry Mazepin may have interest in buying Renault's troubled F1 team, similar to what Canadian Lawrence Stroll did at Racing Point. This follows news that the French government is becoming increasingly concerned about Renault's F1 future amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Mazepin may have ulterior motives for his proposed acquisition ... his son Nikita Mazepin is currently competing in Asian Formula 3. Such a move would not be without precedence ... F1 fans will know that Stroll put his son Lance into a Racing Point seat.

WHAT'S THE LATEST ON THE PROJECT RESTART FRONT?

The Daily Mail reports that the Premier League is intent on starting next season on12  September to keep it in sync with other European league season kick offs. This could have the unintended consequence of adding pressure on "Project Restart" as any further Covid-19 delays could see the current season being curtailed.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: The Premier League should focus on getting this season done first! The situation is complicated enough as it is to be worrying about starting next season on schedule. One step at a time guys, or we may end up with nothing.
