GOLF FANS PREPARE FOR A DIFFERENT KIND OF AUG-NOV LOCKDOWN!

This one will be voluntary and in front of your TV set if PGA Tour officials are to be believed! Current scheduling talk is of shifting the PGA Championship to August, The Open Championship to 17-20 September, the Ryder Cup the week after followed by the Masters the week of 9 November. There would still need to be a place for the US Open which would likely be shifted to the West Coast (Torrey Pines or Pebble Beach) and that would come after the Masters.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Cancel all wedding plans and family functions for that extended period as golf fans will be in lockdown baby!

EPL CLUB SUGGESTS FINISHING THE SEASON IN CHINA!

It seems this Covid-19 virus has caused Premier League clubs to go bat-s*#t crazy with one club suggesting that they finish the season in China. There actually is some logic to that as the virus seems to have dissipated in that region (if the Chinese govt is to be believed), there are plenty of fans and they have stadiums. It would help to grow the EPL brand presence in Asia too. Might be very hot though and TV times would be complicated.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Just don't have bats on the menu!

... SPEAKING OF SOLUTIONS ... THIS FROM A "SHOT OF EXPRESSO" READER

Shot of Expresso/MyTwoCents reader Paulsan sent in an interesting suggestion that could help complete the Premier League season. He suggested reducing match times from 90 minutes to 60 minutes. Now that may sound pointless but hear him out! Reducing the match time would allow teams to play 2-3 games per week as the players wouldn't get as tired, thereby enabling the league to compress the schedule into the minimised time frame remaining.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: We doubt it would fly with the FA but we like the out-of-the-box thinking. If you have a better idea, send it in and we will publish the best of them.

FORMER NEWCASTLE STAR TO GIVE AWAY 1 MILLION CONDOMS

Yep, you heard that right ... ex-Newcastle legend Faustino Asprilla (remember him?) has announced he will be donating 1 million condoms from his range to battle the global contraceptive shortage amid the Covid-19 crisis.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: We understand there may have been an increased demand for gloves but not that kind of glove!

MCGREGOR PUTS KHABIB ON THE BARBIE

"Notorious" Conor McGregor claims that UFC lightweight champ Khabib "chickened out" of his scheduled 19 April mega-fight with Tony Ferguson. Khabib relocated his training camp to his home town of Dagestan, Russia, with the blessing of the UFC during the lockdown ... but is now unable to leave due to flight restrictions.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: That's a bit rich from Conor as he himself has been a big advocate of social distancing.

Happy weekend all ... wait is it the weekend? Every day is the same in lockdown without sport.
