Cape Town - A superb first-half performance from Western Province was more than enough to see them over the line in Saturday night's Currie Cup clash against Griquas at Newlands.
In the end, John Dobson's men emerged as 38-12 victors.
Province played with a pace and intensity in a first half that saw them blow their visitors out of the water as the hosts took a 33-7 lead into the break.
This Currie Cup is looking more and more that it will be the Sharks and WP contesting the final, with both sides on top of the log with a maximum of 20 points from their first four fixtures.
The sides meet at Newlands next Saturday in a fixture that is likely to determine who finishes top of the log.
Griquas showed good fight after being 33-0 down to leave the fixture with something positive to reflect on, but WP were clearly in another league.
The hosts scored six tries to two from their visitors.
