As it happened: Cheetahs v Kings

Prior to kick-off, a late change was made to the Cheetahs' starting XV with Ox Nche out, as Charles Marais started at loosehead and Erich de Jager was called up on the bench.

The home side scored six tries through skipper Shaun Venter, Tian Schoeman, William Small-Smith, Malcolm Jaer, Junior Pokomela and Luan de Bruin.

Flyhalf Schoeman, who was awarded man of the match, was in solid form with the boot too as he landed five conversions.

Meanwhile for Deon Davids' side, the Kings replied with five tries through CJ Velleman, Yaw Penxe, Tienie Burger, Alandre van Rooyen and Berton Klaasen.

Masixole Banda slotted four conversions and a penalty, but it wasn't enough to ensure back-to-back wins for the Port-Elizabeth side.

The Cheetahs picked up a bonus point win that could take them closer to the playoff positions.
