Cape Town - The Cheetahs have injury worries ahead of their PRO14 clash against the Kings this weekend with centres Francois Venter and William Small-Smith both out.
Venter has a neck injury while Small-Smith has a knee problem.
In Venter's absence, hooker Torsten van Jaarsveld will captain the side for Saturday's clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
There is some good news, though, with Clinton Swart, Clayton Blommetjies and Henco Venter all fit and available for selection.
The Cheetahs are coming off a 27-21 loss to Italy's Benetton Treviso this past weekend, but they remain in third place in Conference A and in the playoff positions.
The Kings, meanwhile, are still looking for their first PRO14 win having lost all of their 11 matches so far this season.
They are at least boosted by the return of hooker Michael Willemse.
However, flyhalf Kurt Coleman is expected to miss out with a knee injury.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 17:00.
