Cape Town - Springbok fullback Wille le Roux is a doubt for the home Test matches against Australia and New Zealand.
The 29-year-old was instrumental in his side's 36-34 win over the All Blacks in Wellington on Saturday despite receiving a yellow card in the 66th minute.
But Le Roux's availability for the duration of the Rugby Championship has always been in doubt given that he is contracted to English club Wasps.
Initially, it had been thought that Le Roux would play in the three Tests for the Boks during the Championship, but he has started all four.
With a bye coming up this weekend, Le Roux is expected to return to his club and play in this Saturday's clash against Sale Sharks.
It is unclear whether he will return to South Africa after that.
"It's a tough one to answer at the moment but you never know what can happen," Le Roux told Netwerk24.
Le Roux added that he thought his yellow card for a professional foul had cost his side the game.
"When I was sent off, I thought I had let my team down and that, if we lost, I had cost us the game," he said.
"Fortunately, it all worked out ... I owe the guys a beer for that."
