Blitzboks have date with England in Las Vegas

Cape Town - The South African Sevens team have once again been drawn alongside England in an easy-looking Pool B for the next leg of the 2017/18 World Rugby Sevens Series in Las Vegas.

The Blitzboks are coming off a runners-up finish at the Hamilton Sevens on Sunday where they went down 24-17 to Fiji in the final.

En route to the final, the Blitzboks thrashed England 28-7.

Despite their defeat in the showpiece match, the Blitzboks extended their lead over second-placed New Zealand at the top of the standings after four of the season's 10 tournaments.

Joining South Africa and England in their pool with be Canada and Wales.

On paper the Blitzboks should have little trouble progressing to the next round as England are currently sixth in the standings, while Canada lie a lowly 11th out of the 17 teams to have scored points to date and Wales are in 13th.

Following their win in Hamilton, red-hot Fiji head Pool A alongside Kenya, France and Russia.

Australia, Samoa and hosts the USA, as well as Spain, will fight matters out in Pool C, while Pool D has thrown up an interesting mix of New Zealand, Scotland, Argentina and a yet-to-be-determined 16th team.

The USA tournament will run from March 2-4.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
