France confirm Springbok fixture in 2020

Paris - France will play the world champion Springboks in Paris in next year's November Tests, the French rugby federation announced on Saturday.

The match will take place on November 21 and is the first fixture the Boks have confirmed on that tour, though they are also expected to take on Italy (November 7) and Ireland (November 14) before then.

France, meanwhile, have also confirmed a fixture against Georgia in what will be just the second ever clash between the sides.

Georgia, ranked 14th in the world, were thrashed 64-7 in the side's previous meeting at the 2007 World Cup, but will get a second crack at Les Bleus in Saint-Etienne on November 7.

They have several players in the French Top 14 and have claimed seven titles in eight seasons of the second-tier Rugby Europe Championship.

France will also host Australia on November 14 and world champions South Africa a week later, with both games at the Stade de France.

The Boks, meanwhile, will also host Georgia in June when they also take on Scotland in two Tests.
