Cape Town - Former France scrumhalf and captain Fabien Galthie was not pleased with the quality of rugby on display between his former side and South Africa in Paris this past weekend.

The Springboks claimed a narrow 18-17 win but the game will be remembered more for the error-ridden efforts of both teams.
Via a column for the L'Equipe newspaper, Galthie expressed his dismay at the current state of both teams.
“Last night I saw the two sleeping giants of world rugby continue to sleep,” he wrote.
The current Toulon coach said both teams “lacked precision and pace” and he also said France were far behind Ireland and England in terms of physical preparation.
Galthie, who played 64 Tests for France between 1991 and 2003, was also not impressed by the performance of Springbok flyhalf Handre Pollard.
Pollard missed four kicks at goal - three of them relatively straight-forward - and his decision-making was not always on par.
Galthie described Pollard as “not fit to be a Test match flyhalf”.
