All shall be revealed on Tuesday at 11:00.

Matfield, along with Pote Human and Deon Davids, was part of a three-man shortlist to take over from the recently departed John Mitchell.

Matfield, who played 140 Super Rugby matches for the Bulls and 127 Tests for South Africa, was reported to be the Bulls' first-choice selection, but over the weekend it emerged the 41-year-old was having second thoughts regarding the role.

Matfield cited family reasons and a long-term contract offered to him by SuperSport as a commentator as reasons for initially saying NO to the job.

According to reports, Bulls president Willem Strauss and new CEO Alfonso Meyer had asked Matfield to reconsider his decision.

On Monday the Bulls confirmed a press conference regarding the announcement of the Bulls' Super Rugby head coach would take place at Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday at 11:00.

The Bulls are running short of time with their first Super Rugby match against the Stormers in Pretoria scheduled for Saturday, February 16 - some 68 days from now.
