Cape Town - Carlu Sadie, a promising young Western Province and Stormers prop, is set to join the Lions as they prepare for next year’s Super Rugby competition.
According to Netwerk24, the 21-year-old will be loaned to the Lions.
Sadie, who is listed as at 1.80m and 124kg, was a Junior Springbok in 2016 and came through the Western Province junior system.
Meanwhile, the report added that Springbok lock Stephan Lewies will also be loaned from the Sharks.
It was reported earlier in the week that Lewies, currently playing for the Kamaishi Seawaves in Japan, will join the Lions in next year’s Super Rugby competition.
Lewies has been on the Sharks’ books since 2012 but his career has been blighted by injuries in recent times.
He featured in one Test for the Springboks - against Scotland in Port Elizabeth in 2014 - when he came off the bench to replace captain Victor Matfield in South Africa's 55-6 win.
Meanwhile, the Lions also signed former SA Schools hooker Jan-Henning Campher from the Bulls. He is the son of former Bulls prop Lourens Campher.
The Lions are believed to be in the process of negotiating a few more contracts.
