Durban - The Sharks have been boosted by the news that scrumhalf Louis Schreuder has committed his future to the franchise until the 2020 season.

Schreuder is the latest in a long list of players who have re-signed with the Sharks.

A former member of the Stormers squad, the 27-year-old has had stints with both the Kings and Sharks since leaving Newlands in 2016.

His Super Rugby form for the Kings and Currie Cup form for the Sharks even saw him enter the Springbok fray and he made his Test debut off the bench in the December 2 clash against Wales in Cardiff.

At this stage, the Sharks boast Schreuder and Michael Claassens as their two first-choice scrumhalf options.

The Sharks announced the news via their Twitter page on Monday.
