Lambie puts in stellar performance for Racing

Cape Town - Pat Lambie continued his comeback from his head injury with a sublime display for Racing 92 in their French Top 14 clash against Toulon at Stade Mayol on Sunday.

Having joined his new club from the Sharks at the beginning of November, this was the first time that Lambie has played 80 minutes of competitive rugby since he was knocked out cold by CJ Stander while on Springbok duty against Ireland in June, 2016.

Starting the match at flyhalf, Lambie kicked four penalties and four conversions in a perfect kicking display for a personal haul of 20 points as Racing secured an impressive 40-29 victory.

Lambie, who has 56 Test caps to his name, is still available for the Springboks.

Having made his debut all the way back in 2010, Lambie's last international appearance came in November last year when the Boks lost 27-13 to Wales in Cardiff.

His appearance on Saturday caught the eye of former Sharks and current Worcester Warriors coach, Gary Gold.
