Baxter set for meeting with Chris Hughton to discuss Tau's future

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has revealed that he will be visiting Premier League club Brighton to ask manager Chris Hughton what the future holds for Percy Tau.

Tau joined Brighton ahead of the 2018/19 campaign but because of work permit restrictions, he was immediately loaned out to Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium's second division.

The talented former Mamelodi Sundowns star has performed well for Saint-Gilloise in 2018/19 by scoring six goals in 16 appearances in all competitions and contributing a number of assists as well.

As such, Baxter wants to visit with Hughton to inquire about what he may have in mind in future for the 24-year-old.

He told reporters: "I want to go to London and I want to sit down with Chris Hughton.

"I know Chris well, so I want to ask him what his plans are for Percy and I will obviously give my opinion of what Percy's best doing.

"On my way back to South Africa I'll go to Belgium and pay Percy a visit."
